Yoga Teacher
My name is Steve. My journey to healing and self-discovery has been a long, winding road that I now see was necessary to bring me to where I am today: a conscious being who takes his role as an online yoga teacher seriously.
I grew up in a traditional family where wine and alcohol were simply part of everyday life. Looking back, I now see how these habits were often used as a way to manage stress, a culturally accepted form of escape.
My own journey to discover Yoga as a natural way to cope with stress!
By the age of 16, I was already relying on alcohol, smoking, and eventually drugs. At the time, it felt like a way to cope with life’s challenges, an outlet for the emotions I didn’t yet know how to process. What started as occasional relief slowly became part of my identity.
As I entered adulthood and built a professional life, the habits came with me. On the outside, I appeared to be functioning just fine, working full time, maintaining social connections, but behind the scenes, I was stuck in a cycle of drinking every night, especially in social settings, using it as a way to numb the stress and disconnection I didn’t know how to face.
Then came the wake-up call
Just after my 30th birthday, a painful breakup shook me to the core. It cracked open something I had been avoiding for years. For the first time, I couldn’t hide behind the distractions. I felt completely untethered, and I knew something had to change.
Five days later, I quit my 9-to-5 job. I packed a backpack and set out to travel the world. I didn’t have a roadmap, but I knew I couldn’t keep living the way I had been.
Discovering Yoga as a natural way to cope with challenges:
It was during my travels in Australia that everything started to shift. I stumbled across yoga, starting with simple meditation. Sitting still with myself wasn’t easy at first, but something about it clicked. Then I signed up for a seven-day yoga retreat, not knowing what to expect. Honestly, it shook me to my core. For the first time in years, I felt like I was waking up to my own life.

That experience was life-changing.
When I discovered Yoga as a natural way to cope with stress, I realized I didn’t want to go back to the person I was before.
So, I enrolled in a year-long, intensive yoga training in Byron Bay, Australia.
It was the hardest and most transformative year of my life. Through the practice, I started peeling back the layers of pain, fear, and avoidance that I had been carrying for so long.
Yoga didn’t just heal my body, it healed my mind and spirit. That’s exactly why I’m now committed to sharing with my students what I’ve learned as an online yoga teacher.
Yoga as a natural way to cope with stress:
Looking back, I see how lost I was and how disconnected I felt from myself. Yoga gave me a way to come back home, to find balance, and to see my own worth. And that’s why I’m so passionate about sharing it with others. I want to give people the tools to reconnect with themselves, no matter how busy and heavy life feels.
I know what it’s like to feel out of place, like you’re carrying a weight you can’t quite explain, how scary it is to face yourself, but also how freeing it can be to take that first step. Wherever you are on your journey, I’m here to guide you, to support you, and to remind you that you don’t have to do this alone.
We all deserve to feel at home in our own lives. You deserve that too!
